However, it does not mean that you should just trot out and buy the golf ball that Tiger Woods uses to instantly turn you into a world champion. You would still need to choose the golf ball that would work for you.
The three different types of golf balls are: two-piece balls, three-piece balls and high performance balls.
If you wish to improve the distance shots you are making, you would need to use the two-piece golf ball. If you wish to improve your accuracy, then you might opt to use a three-piece golf ball or a high performance golf ball.

Golf Tournament Fun Author: Tracy Patton
If you live in the South, e.g. Florida, golf tournaments are already starting. I am scheduled to play in a golf tournament on Jan24, 2009 at Pine Ridge, a golf course in Citrus County Florida. This is certainly not the time of year for a northern golf tournament; they would have to remove the snow and ice from the golf course first. Golf tournaments are year around in Florida and actually most enjoyable during the winter months because sometimes the summer heat can be unbearable. Some of the best ones are in March, April and May, with one of my favorites being the Citrus Score Annual Tournament, scheduled for March 23 this year. |

How Putting Drills Can Give You Confidence on the Greens Author: The Putting Genius
Having a good practice routine will help you putt your best on a consistent basis. I recommend having a handful of drills that you can use on the practice greens for building confidence as well as developing a consistent putting stroke. Confident putting is built first on the practice green. I have a few putting drills that I like to use on a pretty regular basis when I'm on the practice greens.
I recommend having a drill for speed, alignment, and one or two for your putting stroke. There are many drills that pros and teaching instructors have come up with that work well. I think you should use what feels most comfortable and what seems to build your confidence and trust in your putting stroke. You may want to try some different putting drills and pick the ones that work best for you. |
